Understanding the Standards: USP <800> and PPE for Chemo
Accredited Continuing Education Workshop developed for healthcare professionals (HCP) interacting with chemotherapy agents. This workshop highlights recent studies and statistics related to health risks for HCP exposed to chemotherapy drugs, explains why the right protection is so important, and summarizes guidelines issued by government agencies and professional organizations for the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to minimize occupational exposure. Designed to both educate on the updated U.S. Pharmacopeia Standards for PPE and empower professionals to advocate for compliance and, consequently, their own safety and wellbeing.
Target Audience: Oncology nurses, pharmacists, sterile processing department techs and/or anyone in a healthcare facility exposed to or handling chemotherapy drugs.
